This is a VTCT Unit Upgrade Electrical Epilation from the full NVQ Level 3 in Beauty Therapy. Perfect for students who do not want to study the full NVQ Level 3 course. For those who would like an introduction into Aesthetics, this is the ideal course. You will be working with a probe (needle) which will be inserted into a hair follicle. The precision necessary to do this will compliment your route into aesthetics.
The VTCT Unit Upgrade Electrical Epilation is also an excellent starter to progress onto Advanced Electrolysis: VTCT Level 4 Award in Skin Blemish Removal
Electrical Epilation is the ONLY FDA approved method of permanent hair removal, where you are able to treat any skin type and any hair including white and grey hairs.
The correct techniques and applications are taught professionally so that you are qualified to deliver a tailor-made treatment to the face and body.

If you do not find dates that suit you, we will create extra dates to suit you, weekdays or weekends. We offer Private One to One Training for those who have religious and cultural requirements.
If you have not previously registered with The VTCT, you will need to be registered. After registration, you will be given a lifetime registration number which you can use for all future courses that are offered by the VTCT. There is an extra charge for this if you have not previously been registered.
A VTCT Unit is a recognised diploma for a single course subject. The benefit of having a VTCT Diploma is that it is recognised Internationally, is often a requirement if you are employed by a salon or spa, and is supported by the National Occupational Standards (NOS) and in accordance with OFQUAL and the VTCT.
To complete the VTCT Unit upgrade in Electrical Epilation you will be required to attend your lessons. After this there is a structured process of:
- Assignment
- Assessments
- Multiple choice Exam papers
You will be observed by a Tutor/Assessor, and IQA and on occasion and EQA
During lessons, students can work on each other. For assessment The AATT provide the Models although you are welcome to bring in your own.
Wax Depilation. This can be studied at our Academy, Virtually or Online.
At The AATT we provide the required Sterex machine for you to train on. You will be required to purchase a kit if you are doing the course with us at our Academy.
